Does LMS split an album by the Disc# ID3 and FLAC tag?

I have some albums that span multiple discs. I've been careful to tag all of the tracks with the same album. LMS still shows three entries. So I am thinking it must be the Disc# tag. Unless it's the physical folder structure... I have not fully evaluated this. I have also not fully broken it down to see if mp3 albums and FLAC albums are handled the same (I understand the actual album tag may differ, but I do not know enough to really even consider that).

But that is the question - do I need to kill the disc tag to force LMS to only show one album? (I understand the downside of something like this, so whether I actually change the tags will be determined on an album-by-album basis)

EDIT: I checked the LMS setting. It is set to treat multi-disc albums as a single album.
