I use my Squeezebox to stream music out to my deck for a big family and friends BBQ that we hold every year. Since I bought a streaming receiver a few years back, this is the only time that the Squeezebox gets a run out.
I dug out the gear and connected everything up yesterday. Loaded up the Media Server (connected OK) and did a scan to capture new music. All good so far.
Then I did a check for updated software. I noticed 7.9.1, downloaded and installed it. That's when I started getting problems. The Media Server now simply refuses to connect. So frustrating!!
I've tried closing down then re-installing the software. No luck. I disabled my Windows Firewall. Still not connecting (although I am still running AVG protection).
I'm not terribly technically gifted. I just expect these things to work as they should. I'm going to try to unistall 7.9.1 and reinstall an older version to see if that works for me. I'm not sure what to do next if it doesn't. Our BBQ is on Saturday and I desperately need to get this working. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful!!
